NICOLE Ellin Named Women's Lacrosse Head Coach

PAXTON, MA - The Anna Maria College Athletic Department has announced the hiring of Nicole Ellin as the new Head Women's Lacrosse Coach.
 
"I would like to thank Joe Brady and David McCauley for this great opportunity. I am really excited to be joining the Anna Maria College athletic department and the women's lacrosse team." commented Ellin. "I am also grateful for the opportunity to move back to Massachusetts, I am excited to get started!"
 
Ellin most recently served as the Assistant Women's Lacrosse Coach at Centre College in Danville, KY for the last four seasons. Ellin took on a number of rolls during her time at Centre, even dawning the roll of Interim Head Coach between January and March of this season. Elin helped lead the Colonels to a 12-4 overall record and trip to the conference championship game this past season. During her time in Kentucky, Ellin also served as a High School Club Coach for the Big Blue Lacrosse Club.
 
Prior to her move out to Kentucky, Ellin spent two years as a Graduate Assistant at Western New England University in Springfield, MA where she began her coaching journey. While at WNE, Ellin spent her time recruiting as well as seeing to the development of the teams overall skills during practice time.
 
As a player, Ellin attended Bard College in Annandale-on-Hudson, NY where she played four years of women's lacrosse and soccer and earned a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology. While playing on the lacrosse team at Bard, Ellin served as the teams captain for three years. She also earned Bard's Freshman Athlete of the Year award.
 
"I am excited to add Nicole to the athletic department staff as the new women's lacrosse head coach. Nicole's experiences as an assistant coach has prepared her well to become our next head coach, commented Joseph Brady '96, Director of Athletics.  "She has been around two great programs and that experience will serve our student-athletes well. I am looking forward to Nicole getting started with the women's lacrosse program and joining our department."
