Women's Lacrosse Stumbles At Simmons

Boston, MA: The Anna Maria College women's lacrosse team fell 20-0 to Simmons University in Great Northeast Athletic Conference (GNAC) action at the Daly Field Complex in Boston.

INSIDE THE NUMBERS

  • Junior goalkeeper Ashley Sheehan (Medford, MA) made eight saves after taking over in goal after the first period.
  • Sophomore attacker Kyana Altif  (Whitinsville, MA), senior defender Cassie Micklesavage (Pottstown, PA), senior midfielder Ashley Rufo (Pittsfield, MA), senior attacker Dawnisha Franklin (Amite, LA), sophomore midfielder Olivia Stump (Southington, CT), sophomore midfielder Raegan Hachey (Winthrop, ME), and junior attacker Alice Yokabaskas (Farmingdale, ME) all recorded one ground ball each.
  • Michaud and Micklesavage each caused a turnover as well.
  • Abby Stoller (Wayland, MA) had four goals for the Sharks, while Leah Manfra (Scarborough, ME) and Sammi Hogan (Westborough, MA) each recorded a hat trick.
  • Lauren Whitman (Mansfield, MA) had seven points for the hosts on two goals and five assists.

The AMCATS will return to the field on Wednesday, March 23rd when they will travel to Gordon College for a 4pm start.
