• After a scoreless first period, Salem State got on the board first with a goal 8:49 into the second period.
• Goaltender Sam Dahill posted 22 saves on 23 shots in the first two periods to give the AMCATS a fighting chance going into the third.
• With a penalty on Salem early in the final period, The AMCATS had an opportunity to tie things up but were held scoreless by Salem's goaltender Dana Smullen who posted 13 saves in the third.
• Dahill ended the game with 27 saves out of 29 shots for a .931 SV%
