TURNING POINT:

  • The AMCATS lit up the scoreboard early and often in the first game. Scoring seven runs in the first inning and six runs in the fourth. Sophomore Eden Forget (Worcester, MA) was dominant in the circle, throwing a complete game while striking out nine of the 19 batters she faced without allowing a walk, earning her second win of the season. Forget also helped her own cause, going 2-4 at the plate while driving in a pair and scoring a run.
  • Game two was more of the same for the AMCATS who scored runs in each of their offensive frames. The big inning was another seven-run effort, this time in the third inning. Senior Sabrina Liston gave the AMCATS back-to-back dominate efforts from the circle, also striking out nine Falcons without allowing a walk and limiting the Falcons to only two hits, earning her second win of the season. Liston also did her part in the batter's box, going a perfect 3-3, including double, with two RBI and a run scored.
