Forget Named GNAC Player Of The Week

GNAC Release

PAXTON, MA: Sophomore pitcher / shortstop Eden Forget (Worcester, MA) of the Anna Maria College softball team has been named the Great Northeast Athletic Conference (GNAC) Player of the Week for the week ending March 20, 2022 in an announcement by the conference on Tuesday.

Forget stepped up for the AMCATS at Mass Maritime on Sunday, striking out four with a 2.80 ERA to help the team to their second straight victory of the day and the season. At the plate, the sophomore broke out of a slump and tallied six hits and seven RBI on the day with a triple and a stolen base.

Forget is the first AMCAT recognized in the GNAC weekly awards for softball since 2016, and the first GNAC Player of the Week since former AMCAT standout Samantha Miller was recognized on March 14, 2014, a span of more than eight years.
