HIGHLIGHTS:

The AMCATS took command of the first game in the second inning. Trailing 2-1 entering the second frame the AMCATS loaded the bases on a walk to Junior infielder Kendall McNamee (Somers, CT), a single by sophomore catcher Kiara Edmonds (Lynn, MA) and a walk to freshman right-fielder Rory Hughes (Worcester, MA). Senior second baseman Michelle Cilley (Dracut, MA) then beat out the throw on an attempted sacrifice bunt, bringing home McNamee keeping the bases full of AMCATS. Sophomore infielder Eden Forget (Worcester, MA) then provided the big hit of the inning, clearing the bases with a triple to right center, driving in three. Sophomore catcher Saylor Costa (E. Providence, RI) then brought Forget home with a single through the left side.

In the second game the AMCATS were able to run-rule the Buccaneers, scoring 12 runs between the fourth and fifth innings. The AMCATS were trailing 2-1 entering the fourth before Edmonds brought home two runs on a single up the middle. After a sac bunt by Hughes, Edmonds came around to score on a single to right by senior outfielder Samantha Dahill (Littleton, MA). Singles by Cilley and Forget reloaded the bases. Costa reached on a fielder's choice that the short stop threw away, scoring Dahill and Cilley. Senior first baseman Sabrina Liston continued the hit parade with a single through the right side scoring Forget. The scoring was then capped when a throw from the shortstop allowed freshman pinch-runner Raven Carriere (Labroquerie West, MB) to score from third.
