Men’s Soccer Gets Blanked On the Road 2-0

WESTON, MA. – On Wednesday, October 19th the Anna Maria College Men's Soccer team traveled to Weston, MA to take on the Regis College Pride for a Great Northeast Athletic Conference matchup. The AMCATS lost the game 2-0.

It would be a slow start to the game with Pride getting a number of early chances to get things started. It wasn't until almost thirty minutes in, that Regis would score their first goal of the evening off the boot of Federico Lavini-Ayalla. After taking the 1-0 lead over the AMCATS, Regis would maintain control over the last fifteen minutes of the first half.

After the Intermission the AMCATS came out with some speed, putting up a few good chances early in the second half. However the AMCATS couldn't find the back of the net. Just 24 minutes into the half the Pride would strike again, adding some insurance to their lead. The goal came from Michael Arguellas, he was assisted by Gavin Stcikney and Joey Davila. Now trailing 2-0, the AMCATS would get off a few more chances before running down the clock, resulting in the 2-0 loss on the road.
