Cadets Overrun Men’s Soccer

PAXTON, MA: The Anna Maria College men's soccer team welcomed Norwich University on Wednesday afternoon in Great Northeast Athletic Conference (GNAC) action at Caparso Field.

THE BASICS:

HIGHLIGHTS

• The AMCATS ran into a buzzsaw of a Norwich team that extended its win streak to six games with the victory today. Most of the game was played in the AMCATS defensive end leading to the Cadets holding a 15-1 edge in shots on goal. The AMCATS lone shot was taken by senior midfielder Brian Gonzalez (East Hampton, NY).
• The Cadets were led by three goals from Mamadi Jiana (8', 13', & 61') while Cullen Swett added a goal in the 13^th minute. Amerle Nemeye was credited with assists on Jiana's first and third goals, and Swett's goal.

UP NEXT:

Anna Maria will be in action again on Saturday when they will travel to Nashua, NH to meet host another Great Northeast Athletic Conference (GNAC) opponent, the Rivier University Raiders. The teams will take the pitch for a 1 PM kickoff.
