Men’s Soccer Down Bulldogs for First Win of the Season

PAXTON, MA: The Anna Maria College men's soccer team welcomed Dean College on Saturday evening in Great Northeast Athletic Conference (GNAC) action at Caparso Field.

THE BASICS:

HIGHLIGHTS

• In a chippy game that featured five yellow cards (four for the AMCATS, and one for the Bulldogs), the AMCATS pulled out a 1-0 victory thanks to a goal from sophomore forward Oluwafifehan Badejo (Newark, DE) in the 83^rd minute. The goal was the first of his as a collegiate player.
• Goalkeeper David Flores (San Antonio, TX) recorded 11 saves on 11 shots faced to record the second shutout of his collegiate career. This shutout came one day shy of the anniversary of his last, a 5-0 shutout of Rivier on October 2, 2021.
• The Bulldogs' goalkeeper Alberto Gonzalez Del Rio finished the game with two saves on three shots on goal
• The Bulldog offense kept the pressure on the AMCATS, winning the shots battle 21-7 but could not find the back of the net.
