Men’s Lacrosse Falters At Emmanuel In GNAC Tilt

BOSTON, MA: The Anna Maria College men's lacrosse team lost 14-5 at Emmanuel College on Saturday afternoon in Great Northeast Athletic Conference (GNAC) action at Clemente Field in Boston.

  • Anna Maria freshman midfielder Hank Gittines (Shrewsbury, NJ) led the AMCATS with two goals and three ground balls.
  • Emmanuel junior Ryan Castle (Boxford, MA) finished with five goals and two assists to go with three ground balls.
  • Anna Maria senior attacker Nick Massaro (West Haven, CT), junior midfielder Tommy Girard (Newbury, MA) and freshman midfielder Brennan Fields (Chicopee, MA) each tallied a goal.
  • Emmanuel's Thomas Quigley (Marblehead, MA) finished with a hat trick for EC while adding a pair of helpers in the win.
  • Anna Maria senior goalkeeper Griffin Moore (Worcester, MA) totaled 13 saves in net.
  • Emmanuel's Robert Favuzza (Saugus, MA) and Aiden Sullivan (Burlington, CT) finished with a pair of goals each.
  • Anna Maria freshman midfielder Nathan Powers (Putney, VT) tallied 12 ground balls.
  • Emmanuel junior goalie Randy Castle (Boxford, Mass.) earned his second win of the season, making 13 saves in the victory.

Anna Maria will be back on the field on Tuesday when they host Saint Joseph's College of Maine in a 6:00 p.m. game.
