Paxton, MA: The Anna Maria College men's lacrosse team lost to Johnson & Wales University on Saturday in Great Northeast Athletic Conference (GNAC) action at Caparso Field.

HIGHLIGHTS:

  • AMCATS senior attacker Nick Massaro (West Haven, CT) recorded his second hat trick of the season with goals in the third and fourth quarters. He also assisted on the AMCATS first two goals of the game, giving him a team-high 38 points on the season.

INSIDE THE NUMBERS

  • Freshman midfielder Zachary Boyd (Bay Shore, NY) had his second straight multi-goal game of the season, scoring in the first quarter with an assist from Massaro, and unassisted in the fourth.
  • Senior goalkeeper Griffin Moore (Worcester, MA) made 15 saves giving him double-digit saves for the 10th time this year.
  • Junior midfielder Tommy Girard (Newbury, MA) had found the back of the net for his 11th goal of the year in the third quarter. Girard also had assists on two of Massaro's goals.
  • Wildcats midfielder Joe McIntyre (Ballston Lake, NY) had four goals on five shots while Chris Calisto (Jericho, NY) added four goals and an assist in their team's win.

UP NEXT:

The AMCATS will return to the field on Wednesday, April 20th when they will travel to Norwich University to faceoff with the Cadets for a 4:00 pm start.
