Moore Named GNAC Goalkeeper Of The Week

PAXTON, MA: Senior goalkeeper Griffin Moore (Worcester, MA) of the Anna Maria College men's lacrosse team was named the Goalkeeper of the Week of the Great Northeast Athletic Conference (GNAC) for the week ending March 27, 2022 as announced by the conference on Tuesday.

Moore had an impressive week for the AMCATS, going 2-0 in net with a 63.4 save percentage and averaging 13 saves per contest. With Moore holding the line in net, Anna Maria is 2-0 in GNAC play for the first time in the history of the program. As of press time, Moore is second in the GNAC in total saves this season with 98.

Moore is the first AMCAT to be named GNAC Goalkeeper of the Week since former Anna Maria standout Paul Schwarz (Staten Island, NY) was recognized for the week ending April 21, 2019.

UP NEXT:
The AMCATS will return to the field on Wednesday, March 30th when they will return to New York to travel to SUNY Maritime to faceoff with Mt. St. Vincent for a 7:30 pm start.
