Men's Club Ice Hockey Team To Play In The NEIHC Playoffs
Willington, FL...The Anna Maria College men's ice hockey club team will play in the New England Independent Hockey Conference (NEIHC) playoffs on Sunday, February 20 at 7:05 pm against Massachusett Maritime Academy in the semifinals. The game will be played at the Babson Skating Rink, Babson Park, MA. In the other semifinal matchup, Babson will face off against the University of New Hampshire on Saturday, February 19 at 11 am at the Babson Skating Rink. The championship game will be played on Friday, February 25 at 8 pm at the Babson Skating Rink.
The AMCATS finished with a 7-2-0 league record and are coached by Connor Mauro. Anna Maria scored 56 goals in league play and allowed only 21 goals. Zach Pierce led the AMCATS with 12 league points (4 g, 8 a), Mason Eichmann (5 g, 4 a, 9 pts) and Vinnie McAllister (5 g, 3 a, 8 pts).
Mass Maritime finshed the league with a 10-6-1 record, Babson with a 9-0-0 league record and UNH with a 4-8-0 record.
