Men’s Ice Hockey Scores Seven Against Ravens

 AUBURN, MA: The Anna Maria College men's ice hockey team won 7-2 over against visiting Franklin Pierce University on Tuesday evening at the Horgan Arena in Auburn, Massachusetts.

THE BASICS:

HOW IT HAPPENED:

  • The seven goals were the most the AMCATS have ever scored in a single-game. They had previously scored six goals in a game on seven separate occasions.
  • Anna Maria junior left defenseman Cam Tobey (Falmouth, MA) and sophomore right defenseman Samson Mouland (Hay River, NT) each tallied two goals and an assist on the night.
  • Anna Maria senior center and team captain Sam Cyr-Ledoux (Montreal, QC) finished with a goal and two assists, At press time, Cyr-Ledoux is tied for the team lead in assists (ten) and points (15).
  • Anna Maria freshman right wing Colby Wolter (Falun, AB) scored his fifth goal of the season, that proving to be the eventual game-winner.
  • Anna Maria senior goaltender Brendan Boncore (Oakland, MI) finished with 38 saves on the night.
  • Franklin Pierce senior forward Anthony Nikolopoulos (Burlington, MA) led the Ravens with one goal and one assist.

Anna Maria will be back on the ice on Thursday when they travel to Albertus Magnus for a 7:15 p.m. game.
