Field Hockey Fall to Monks

 

PAXTON, MA: The Anna Maria College field hockey team took on St. Joseph's College (ME) at Caparso Field in a Great Northeast Athletic Conference (GNAC) matchup. AMCATS goalkeeper Hannah Tobey (Falmouth, MA) continued her streak of double-digit saves with 24 saves to keep her team in the game. The AMCATS couldn't overcome the Monks 36-0 lead in shots and fell 5-0.

HIGHLIGHTS

  • Tobey had her sixth consecutive double-digit saves game to open the season. Through six games she has recorded a GNAC high 93 saves, nearly twice as many as her nearest competitor.
  • The Monks were led by two goals apiece from Alexa Gutowski and Molly McCluskey. Morgan Dalton added a goal as well.

UP NEXT:

Anna Maria will be in action again on Thursday when they will host non-conference opponent Bridgewater State at Caparso Field. The teams will take the field for an 11 AM start.
