Women’s Volleyball Falls Twice At JWU

PROVIDENCE, RI : The Anna Maria College women's volleyball team lost two Great Northeast Athletics Conference (GNAC) matches on Saturday at the Johnson & Wales Tri-Match, falling in straight sets to Dean College before coming up just short to the host Wildcats.

The AMCATS are now 4-10 and 0-4 in GNAC action.

 

AMCAT STANDOUTS:

  • Anna Maria junior middle blocker Ryann Hassett (North Oxford, MA) led the AMCATS with ten kills over six sets, with four total blocks.
  • Anna Maria senior outside hitter Julia Rutkowski (Coventry, CT) added ten kills with eleven digs.
  • Anna Maria sophomore setter Julia Tarantino (Pembroke, MA) filled the stat line with seven kills, 26 set assists, three service aces and 17 digs.

 

UP NEXT:

Anna Maria will be back on the court on Tuesday when they travel to Salem State 6:00 p.m. match.
