Women’s Volleyball Splits at Mass Maritime

- BUZZARDS BAY, MASS. : The Anna Maria College women's volleyball team split their two matches on Saturday at the Massachusetts Maritime Academy on Saturday in Buzzards Bay, Massachusetts, falling short in four sets to the Colonels of Curry College (25-12, 22-25, 25-16, 25-18) before sweeping the host Buccaneers in their second match (25-23, 25-18, 25-12).

AMCAT HIGHLIGHTS:

- Junior middle blocker Ashley Sheehan (Medford, MA) led the AMCATS with 16 points over seven sets, including seven service aces against Mass Maritime.

- Senior Julia Rutkowski (Coventry, CT) had a dominant showing with 14 kills and 19 digs.

- Senior libero Tabitha Franceschet (Westfield, MA) led the defensive effort with 25 digs.

- Sophomore setter Julia Tarantino (Pembroke, MA) setup the offense with 33 set assists and 24 digs.

- Junior outside hitter Bella Kozciak (Westfield, MA) added eight kills, three aces and 13 digs.
