2019 Women's Volleyball Season Preview

SCHEDULE | ROSTER

PAXTON, Mass. - The Anna Maria College women's volleyball team return to action on Saturday, September 7, 2019, in a doubleheader where they host Massachusetts Maritime Academy and Becker College at 10:00 AM and 2:00 PM respectively. The squad will look to continue building the program up for a strong season.

WHAT TO LOOK FORWARD TO

• The AMCATS bring back sophomore Julia Ramos (Orange, Mass.) who is coming off a strong freshman season as she led the team in assists with 200 and averaged 2.63 assists per set.
• Anna Maria will feature two 50 plus point student-athletes, Ramos and senior Hannah Mitchell (Pittsfield, Mass.) who totaled 61.5 and 99 points respectively.
• The 'Cats have one of their top kills leaders, sophomore Taylor Hoffstedt (Lanesborough, Mass.) back for another year (76 kills).
• The squad is only nine wins away from the 150-win plateau in program history.
• Seniors Mitchell and Daizy Santiago (Worcester, Mass.) will be key leaders to help guide the AMCATS throughout the season.

• A big game, as the AMCATS host the winners of the last four Great Northeast Athletic Conference (GNAC) and number eight team in the American Volleyball Coaches Association (AVCA) Division III preseason rankings, Johnson & Whales on Friday, September 27, 2019, at 3:00 PM.
• Hosts conference powerhouse, Rivier College on Wednesday, October 2, 2019, at 7:00 PM.
• Senior day is on Friday, October 12, 2019, at 12:00 PM.
• Cross-town rival Worcester St. will host the AMCATS on Tuesday, October 29, 2019, at 7:00 PM.
• The last regular-season match will have the AMCATS traveling to Salve Regina on Saturday, November 2, 2019, at 1:00 PM.
