Women's Soccer Finishes in a Double Overtime Draw against Rivier

- Nashua, NH: The Anna Maria Women's Soccer Team finished their second conference match with a double overtime draw against Rivier University this evening.  

 THE BASICS:

- Date: 9/18/2019

- Score: Anna Maria 0, Rivier University 0

- Records: Rivier (2-1-2, 0-0-1 GNAC), Anna Maria (3-2-1, 0-1-1 GNAC)

HOW IT HAPPENED:

-  The AMCATS Sydney Owen (Haverhill, MA) finished with a game high for shots on goal with three. Right behind her was Keara Sheehan (Chelmsford, MA) of Rivier with two shots on goal of her own.

-  The Raiders goalie Kasey Smith (Hopkinton, NH) faced four shots on goal throughout the 2OT contest and saved them all.

Rachel Matloff (Grafton, MA) finished the game facing five shots on goal in which she saved to end the contest with a perfect save percentage.


INSIDE THE NUMBERS:

-  The AMCATS were outshot by Riv 9 to 8.

-  Each team finished with just 5 shots on goal.

-  throughout the contest, the Raiders tallied 2 more fouls than AMC 13-11.

- Anna Maria returns to action on the 21st as they will travel to Pine Manor for a non-conference matchup that is slated to begin at 1:00 PM.
