Women's Ice Hockey Shutout by Suffolk

- Marlborough, MASS: The Anna Maria College women's ice hockey team lost 6-0 to visiting Suffolk University on Saturday night at the New England Sports Center in Northborough, Massachusetts.

 THE BASICS:

HOW IT HAPPENED:

-  Suffolk junior forward Julia Volpe (Littleton, Colo.) had a game-high two goals, including the first of the game and eventual game-winner. Goals were also scored by junior forward Meghan Gazard (Ashland, Mass.), sophomore forward Cassidy Gruning (Tewksbury, Mass.), junior forward Madison Scheinberg (Plantation, Fla.), and senior forward Maddy Burton (Auroa, Ill.).


INSIDE THE NUMBERS:

-  Suffolk senior net-minder Halle Usseglio (Wethersfield, Conn.) picked up the shutout with ten saves.  

-  Anna Maria sophomore goalkeeper Sam Dahill (Littleton, MA) tallied 45 saves in 51 minutes for the AMCATS.

- Anna Maria freshman forward Sam Deiches (Dix Hills, NY) had three shots on the night.
