AMCATS fall to Blue Jays in Tournament Finals

WEST HARTFORD, Conn., Nov. 20, 2010 -- Devon Diliberto (Waterbury, Conn.) scored 15 points and tournament MVP Nathalie Mastarreno (Glastonbury, Conn.) had 10 as Saint Joseph College defeated Anna Maria 61-36 in the championship game of the 13th Annual Saint Joseph College Invitational. Mastarreno finished the two-day event with nine steals and eight assists. Diliberto was joined Mastarreno on the All-Tournament Team along with Anna Maria's Samantha Ashton (Worcester, Mass.), Mitchell's Allison Peck (Colchester, Conn.) and Green Mountain's Millicent Hopper (Gouverneur, NY) were also named All-Tournament. Saint Joseph (3-1) held Anna Maria (2-1) to 4-of-20 shooting in the first half and built a 33-14 lead at intermission. Senior Ilaria Schiano (Wallingford, Conn.) also scored 10 points for Saint Joseph and Chelsea Alves (Ellington, Conn.) had nine. Chelsea Blair (Holland, Mass.) had a team-high eight points for Anna Maria and Tonique Adkins (New Haven, Conn.) had 12 rebounds. Mitchell 52, Green Mountain 47: Allison Peck had 15 points and nine rebounds as Mitchell (1-2) defeated Green Mountain (0-3) in the consolation game. Bianca Young (Bridgeport, Conn.) scored nine points and Alix O'Neil (New London) had eight points and nine rebounds for the Mariners. Chelsea Paul (Northville, NY) scored 17 and Millicent Hopper 16 for Green Mountain.Release Courtesy fo Saint Joseph Sports Information
