Softball Falls on Senior day

PAXTON, Mass: The Anna Maria Softball team fell in both games against first seeded GNAC opponent Emmanuel College this morning 10-0 in game one and 9-0 in game two.

 

Records: Emmanuel 24-12, 15-1 GNAC. AMC 3-24, 0-16 GNAC.

 

How it Happened

 

The Saints were able to out hit the AMCATS while making all plays in the field, holding the them to just four total hits between the two contests. The AMCATS allowed four runs in both games for a total of eight runs to score on four total errors on the day.

The only senior to get a hit in game one was Sabrina Carreira (West Hartford, CT), who was 1-for-2. That hit was also to only hit recorded by Anna Maria in game one. Victoria Falco (Marlborough, Mass.) was able to smack a double in game two recording one of just three hits for the 'CATS.

Yuleska Ramirez Tejeda had a day in game one with a no doubt solo shot and a base clearing double. She had a total of three hits on the day and scored five times.

Sarah Hoisl was the threat in game two as she batted in three runs while being perfect at the plate at 2-for-2.

The AMCATS will be taking on Pine Manor Monday afternoon with a 3PM start time. those contest will finish up their season. We would like to thank the four seniors, the two that were previously mentioned along with Cam Johnson and Kayla Magierowski.
