Grey, Jackson Invited to NCAA Career in Sports Forum

INDIANAPOLIS—Two Anna Maria College seniors are among more than 200 student-athletes nationwide who have been invited to attend the NCAA Career in Sports Forum. A committee from within the NCAA membership selected Kevin Grey (Middleborough, Mass.) of the AMCAT football team and Brittany Jackson (Larchmont, N.Y.), a volleyball and softball player, to attend this year’s event from June 2-5 at the NCAA headquarters in Indianapolis.

The Albertus Magnus College softball team won both ends of a Great Northeast Athletic Conference (GNAC) doubleheader versus Anna Maria on Wednesday afternoon at Celentano Field. In warm and sunny conditions, the Falcons topped the AMCATS, 7-2, in the opener and scored a 10-1 triumph in five innings in the finale.

AUBURN, Mass.—A walk-off double from senior Elizabeth Haggerty (Charlton, Mass.) brought the Anna Maria College softball team to a 8-7 victory over the Sharks of Simmons College in the bottom of the ninth inning of game one on Saturday night. Simmons rallied for a 10-9 win in the nightcap.
