Paxton, Mass. – The Anna Maria College softball team was swept by Johnson & Wales University today in Great Northeast Athletic Conference action today at AMCAT Field. The Wildcats took game 1 13-1 and game two 12-0 both games ending in the mercy-rule fifth inning.

CHESTNUT HILL, Mass. – Pine Manor senior Tara Doehler (Lakeville, MA) pitched 14 shutout innings to lead Pine Manor to a sweep of visiting Anna Maria College during a Great Northeast Athletic Conference (GNAC) doubleheader on Saturday, April 14, 2012 in Chestnut Hill, MA. With the pair of wins, Pine Manor improves to 7-13 overall and in the conference.

CHICOPEE, Mass. – Elms College sophomore first baseman Ally Witaszek (Feeding Hills, Mass.) picked up an infield single and then scored from first on a misplay by Anna Maria College in the bottom of the seventh to break a 3-3 tie and give the Blazers a 4-3 victory over the AMCATS in Tuesday afternoon’s non-conference softball game at Cheryl R. Condon Field.
Lasers Tag AMCATS in Doubleheader

Paxton, Mass. – The Lady AMCATS of Anna Maria College were downed by the Lasell Lasers in Great Northeast Athletic Conference softball action today at AMCAT Field. On a cold and windy day the Lasers swept AMC 10-0 in game one and 5-2 in the night cap.

Paxton, Mass. – Senior Mary Moroski (Worcester, Mass.) and Liz Clark once again had home runs for the AMCATS but it wasn’t enough as visiting Saint Joseph College swept host Anna Maria College in Great Northeast Athletic Conference softball action today at AMCAT Field. The Blue Jays captured game one 9-1 in six innings and the nightcap 15-4. The AMCATS fall to 0-22, 0-14 GNAC on the season while St. Joe’s even their record at 12-12, 9-5 GNAC.

Paxton, Mass. – Anna Maria College softball was swept by Saint Joseph’s College (ME) in Great Northeast Athletic Conference action today at AMCAT field. St. Joe’s took game one by a score of 9-0 and game two, 23-1. With the wins the Monks improve to 12-4, 7-1 GNAC while the AMCATS see their record fall to 0-18, 0-10 GNAC.

Clermont, Fla. – Senior Mary Moroski had an RBI double and Cristina Turley picked up another RBI for the AMCAT softball team but it wasn’t enough as AMC dropped a 5-2 decision to Hood College on day two of spring break action at the National Training Center in Clermont, Florida. Anna Maria’s season record slides to 0-4 after an earlier 19-0 loss to Grace College.

Minneola, Fla. – The Anna Maria College softball team opened up their 2012 campaign with two losses to University of Scranton and Oswego State in spring break action at the Minneola Athletic Complex on Monday afternoon. In the season opener the AMCATS were downed by Scranton 13-0 and dropped a 19-0 decision to Oswego in the nightcap.
