Saint Joseph’s Cruises Past Men’s Soccer

PAXTON, MA : The Anna Maria College men's soccer team lost 5-1 to visiting Saint Joseph's College of Maine on Wednesday evening in Great Northeast Athletic Conference (GNAC) action at Carposo Field in Paxton, Massachusetts.

HOW IT HAPPENED:

• Anna Maria junior midfielder Caleb Wu (New Hartford, NY) scored his first career goal for the AMCATS in the 67^th minute when he shot the ball off the keeper, with the assist going to junior forward Hezekiah Adeyeye (Woonsocket, RI). Wu was mobbed by teammates, celebrating his first goal in 30 career games.  
• Anna Maria freshman goalkeeper David Flores (San Antonio, TX) tallied five saves in net.
• The Monks saw goals from freshman midfielder Rion dos Santos (Sao Paulo, Brazil), senior forward Chukwuma Onyejose (East Greenwich, RI), senior midfielder Austin Ward (North Andover, MA), junior midfielder Alec Kosinski (East Lyme, CT) and sophomore midfielder Icaro Vieira (Westborough, MA).

Anna Maria will be back on the field on Saturday when they host Lasell University for a 5:30 p.m. senior day match during Homecoming weekend.
