Proeh’s Last Second Goal Lifts Men's Hockey over Albertus, 3-2

PAXTON, MASS: The Anna Maria Men's Ice Hockey team took down Alberts Mangnus this evening 3-2 on a last second score.

 THE BASICS:

- Date: 2/7/2020

Score: Anna Maria 3, Albertus Magnus 2

Records: Albertus (4-18-2), Anna Maria (11-7-5)

HOW IT HAPPENED:

-  There were five goals scored in tonight's game four of which came by way of the power play. Anna Maria struck first at 14:32 into the first period when Michael Padgeon (Sellersville) was found open in front of the net by Sam Cyr-Ledoux (Montreal, QC) and Gavin Proeh (Highland Park, IL).

-  The AMCATS beat the Falcons tender one more time to start the second period on a beautiful move by Cry-Ledoux to skate around three defenders to finish in the top left corner of the goal.

-  Albertus refused to go down without a fight however, as they went on a 2-0 run themselves to close out the period. Both goals came on the power play, the first was scored by Owen Allen, and the next came from Dino Antoniadis.

- The only non-power play goal was the game winner by Gavin Proeh with just 30 seconds left to go. Proeh found himself in front of the net and didn't miss his opportunity. His goal sealed it for the AMCATS as they take it 3-2.
