Men's Hockey Shutsout Johnson & Wales, 3-0

AUBURN, MASS: The Anna Maria Men's Hockey team took down Johnson & Wales this evening in nonconference action after another multigoal performance by Jack Sitzman (Redondo Beach, MA).

 THE BASICS:

Records: JWU (3-12), Anna Maria (9-3-3)

HOW IT HAPPENED:

- After a quiet first period the AMCATS finally struck 12:32 into the second on Sitzman's first goal of the day. The Puck was worked nicely around the net by Sam Cyr-Ledoux (Montreal, QC) and Gavin Proeh (Highland Park, IL).

-  It only took 14 seconds for Anna Maria to strike again this time it was Proeh who found the back of the net. He found the puck quickly after a successful faceoff by Cyr-Ledoux and a pass from Sitzman.

-  The final goal of the game was also in the second period, 16:05 in Sitzman tallied his second goal of the contest to cap off the power play to give the AMCATS a 3-0 lead. Proeh and Cyr-Ledoux again worked the puck around the defense to find an open Sitzman who finished top shelf.

INSIDE THE NUMBERS:

-  Mike Rockwell had quite the game in net for the Wildcats as he racked up 33 saves on 36 shots faced.

-  Julius Huset post yet another shutout for the 'CATS as he saved all 22 shots that he faced.

-  Both teams spent just two minutes on one infraction in the penalty box.
