Bio

Nick Voorhees enters his second season on the Anna Maria College football coaching staff and is the special teams coordinator and wide receivers coach.

In his first year at Anna Maria, Voorhees produced two 1st-Team All-Conference receivers in Hayden Braga & David Robinson. Robinson was also the 2019 Conference Rookie of the Year. He also coached 2nd-Team All-Conference kick-returner Marquis Roderique.

Voorhees came to Anna Maria College after spending two years at the University of Mary in Bismarck, ND. While there, he spent time coaching both the wide receivers in 2017 and the running backs in 2018.

Prior to his time at Mary, he was the offensive coordinator and wide receivers coach at Freedom High School in Orlando, FL. While there, he coached two All-District performers and also served as a Bowl Scout for the Inaugural AutoNation Cure Bowl between teams from the American Athletic Conference and the Sun Belt Conference.

Voorhees also spent four seasons as the wide receivers coach at Lake Minneola High School in Minneola, FL, where he helped the program make an appearance in the Florida state play-offs in just the school's third year of existence.

Voorhees grew up in the Tampa, FL area, where he started his coaching career as the defensive backs coach at his alma mater of Bloomingdale High School. That year the Bloomingdale secondary finished in the top five for interceptions in Hillsborough County.

Voorhees graduated from the University of Central Florida in 2013 with a degree in Sports & Fitness with a specialization in coaching.
