Equestrian Represents Well At Salve Regina Show; Bond And Smith Eligible For Regionals

NEWPORT, RI - Equestrian competed in their first show of the spring season last Saturday at Salve Regina and saw Grace Bond (Medfield, MA) and Isabelle Smith (Shrewsbury, MA) qualify for the March 28 Regionals at the Nora Harris Equestrian Center. Here is a rundown on how the team performed:

HOW IT HAPPENED

• In the Class 3 Limit Hunter Seat Equitation on the Flat, the AMCATS saw three top-five finishes (Smith-second, Bond-third, and Jocelyn Trifiro (Templeton, MA)-fourth). 
  
• For the Class 4 Limit Hunter Seat Equitation over Fences, Gina Houghton (Paxton, MA) took fifth place and in Anna Maria's last event (Class 2B Novice Hunter Seat Equitation), Gina Carbone (Scarborough, ME) claimed the reserve spot.

Anna Maria is back in action this weekend traveling to the University of Rhode Island on Saturday, March 14 at 8 AM.
