- Altamonte Springs, Florida: The Anna Maria baseball team split the day with Gordon College this afternoon. The nonconference games ended with finals of 2-1 and 5-2.

HOW IT HAPPENED: Game One
- The AMCATS struck first on a sack fly from Nick Genatossio (Sutton, MA) in the first inning to go up 1-0.
- Gordon scored their only run in the second on a safety squeeze on a sac bunt by Josh Popovitch to tie it up 1-1.
- Anna Maria was able to score the game winning run in the third inning after a throw down on a stolen base attempt by Adam Twitchell (Shrewsbury, MA) that was missed by the shortstop allowing Kosta Drosidis (Holden, MA) to score the go ahead run 2-1.
INSIDE THE NUMBERS:
- Joe Pedulla pitched all 7 innings allowing only 5 hits and raking up 6 strikeouts.
- Jack Marzec (Northbridge, MA) also went the distance to pick up his second win after 7 innings pitched allowing just 2 hits, 1 earned run, and 8 strikeouts.
HOW IT HAPPENED: Game Two
- The Fighting Scots dropped a three piece in the third inning to go up 3-0 on a two run double by John Lagerfeldt who eventually scored on a balk.
- The AMCATS answered with two runs of their own in the bottom of the fourth on a ground out that plated Drosidis and Genatossio scored on an error by the visitor's shortstop.
- The Scots scored again in the sixth on a solo shot by Erik Grauer that made it out over the left field fence.
INSIDE THE NUMBERS:
- Mark Gadaleta improves to 2-0 on the season after throwing a complete game allowing just 4 hits with just 1 earned and 4 strikeouts.
- Dario Tarquinio (Southbridge, MA) got the loss after 4 innings of work, 3 earned runs, and 2 strikeouts.
