CENTERVILLE, Mass.—The Eastern College Athletic Conference (ECAC) on Thursday announced its 2012 Division III New England Baseball All-Star Team. Jeff Scafidi (Worcester, Mass.) was named to the ECAC All-Star First Team as a utility player while teammate Kevin Wodatch (Wallingford, Conn.) received second team recognition as an outfielder.

UPDATE JUNE 8, 2012: The New England Intercollegiate Baseball Association (NEIBA) 38th annual All-Star Game has been rescheduled for Monday, June 11th at 7pm at Campanelli Stadium, home of the Brockton Rox in Brockton Massachusetts. Tickets will be $5.

CENTERVILLE, Mass. – The Anna Maria baseball team will travel to Endicott College for a four-team, one-day Eastern College Athletic Conference (ECAC) Division III New England Tournament on Saturday, May 12th as the #3 seed. The AMCATS will be vying for back-to-back ECAC titles for the first time in program history.

WORCESTER, Mass. The Anna Maria baseball team played a final tune-up before the ECAC Tournament, dropping a 7-0 decision to inner-city Division I opponent Holy Cross, at Fitton Field. The AMCATS current record stands at 23-17 and with the win, Holy Cross finishes the regular season at 30-20, tying the most wins in program history. The AMCATS have never faced a NCAA Division I team.

Worcester, Mass. – Anna Maria College scored five runs in the bottom of the third inning en route to a 5-3 victory over Becker College in non-conference baseball action today at Quinsigamond Community College. With the victory, Justin Hyland (Spencer, Mass.) broke the AMCATS record for total wins in a season. The junior pitcher picked up his 7th win to break the record set in 2010 by now assistant coach Jim McNamara.

Paxton, Mass. – The Anna Maria College baseball team is headed into the GNAC double-elimination tournament after the 12-0 win over Emerson College on Tuesday afternoon. The AMCATS (21-14) seeded at #3 will travel to Johnson & Wales University on Thursday, April 26th. The Wildcats (25-15) with the No. 2 seed in the GNAC conference received a first round bye.
