2023 SPRING GNAC ALL-CONFERENCE HONORS

Graduate student Jarrod Marifiote (Framingham, MA) was named the GNAC Baseball Player of the Year and to the All-Conference First Team. An outfielder, he played in 41 games while helping the AMCATS to their second tournament runner-up in three years. He was second on the team in batting average (.407) and second on the team in runs scored (38), hits (61) and led the team with 50 RBIs. He was second in slugging percentage (.633). He added 10 doubles and eight home runs.

The AMCATS slugger ranked in the top-10 in the conference in a number of categories on the GNAC leaderboard, ranking third in hits, second in RBIs and fourth in home runs. His batting average, slugging percentage and on base percentage also placed him in the top-10.

Senior DH/catcher James Powers (Folsom, CA) was named to the GNAC Baseball All-Conference First Team for the second consecutive year. He earned second team honors in 2021. Powers led the team with a .413 batting average and led the team in runs (49), hits (64) and home runs (10). He was in the top 10 in the conference in batting average, runs scored, hits and led the conference in home runs.

Sophomore first baseman Jeremy Rosenberg (Boynton Beach, FL) was named to the 2023 GNAC Baseball All-Conference Second Team. He was named to the first-team, all-rookie team and defensive team in his rookie season. Rosenberg started in 41 of 41 games and was in the top five on the team in batting average (.351), runs scored (24), hits (52), doubles (12) and RBIs (23).

Graduate student infielder Kosta Drosidis (Holden, MA) was named to the 2023 GNAC All-Conference Second Team. Drosidis was named to the first team in 2019, 2021 and 2022 while also earning 2021 conference player of the year honors and 2019 rookie of the year honors. He was ranked in the top five on the team in batting average (.316), runs scored (32), hits (43), RBIs (28) and led the team with 20 doubles. His 20 doubles led the GNAC and he ranked in the top 10 in the conference in hits, runs scored and batting average.

Sophomore pitcher Nick Choate (Grafton, MA) was named to the 2023 GNAC Baseball All-Conference Second Team following his rookie season where he was named 2022 Pitcher of the Year, Rookie of the Year, first-team all-conference and all-rookie team. Choate went 5-4 on the mound with a 3.08 ERA. He struck out 76 batters while allowing only 32 hits. He pitched a no-hitter in a 7-0 win over conference opponent Albertus Magnus. His 50 conference strike outs ranked him second and his 76 strikerouts overall ranked fourth.

Junior pitcher Anthony Pingeton (Charlton, MA) was named to the 2023 GNAC Baseball All-Conference Third Team for the second consecutive year. Pingeton made 13 appearances for the AMCATS with a team leading eight wins on the mound (8-2) and had a 3.14 ERA. His 39 conference hits allowed was sixth in the conference and his 66 overall hits allowed was second. He had 46 strikeouts against conference opponents and 88 overall, ranking him fourth and second respectively. He led the team in strikeouts.

Senior catcher Saylor Costa (East Providence, RI) was named to the 2023 GNAC Softball All-Conference Third Team. This mark's Costa's first selction to the all-conference team. Costa led the team in batting average (.373), hits (47), RBIs (18) and her 10 doubles tied for the team lead. She was second on the team with 17 runs scored. She played in all 37 games for the AMCATS.

Sophomore Nathan Powers (Putney, VT) was named to the 2023 GNAC Men's Lacrosse All-Conference Third Team in the faceoff position. Powers led the conference in faceoffs with 279 overall and 156 in the GNAC. He had a 60.5 faceoff percentage in the GNAC. This marks the first all-conference selection for Powers.
