Twitchell and Marzec Get GNAC Weekly Honors

PAXTON, MA: The Anna Maria baseball team took home two more Great Northeast Athletic Conference awards this week. Jack Marzec (Northbridge, MA) was awarded his second Pitcher of the Week honors from the conference. Adam Twitchell (Shrewsbury, MA) was named Player of the Week after helping the AMCATS to a 3-1 week in GNAC play. 

Twitchell absolutely dominated last week for the AMCATS both at the dish and on the mound. He finished the week with a .500 average, ten hits, and four extra-base hits consisting of three doubles and a solo home run. Twitch had a team-high eleven RBI's, five stolen bases, and a .800 slugging. He also got a win on the mound to end the week's conference matchups against Albertus Magnus. He threw for five innings allowing just three hits and striking out four.

Marzec pitched in one contest last week and made the most out of it, throwing a complete game against Lasell this past week. In his seven innings of work, he allowed just three hits with one earned run. Marzec finished with a 1.29 ERA and compiled nine strikeouts.
