Get to Know the Coaches: Brooke Brigham

PAXTON, MA: Head Field Hockey Coach Brooke Brigham is next up on Anna Maria College Athletics "Get To Know Your Coaches" feature. Brigham will be entering her fifth season at the helm for the AMCATS. Be sure to check back each week to learn more about our coaches. 

Brooke (Denver) Brigham was named the ninth coach in Anna Maria field hockey history on December 17th, 2015, after completing three-years as the program's assistant coach under Sharon Zenevitch. 

A 2013 graduate of Anna Maria College, Brigham was a four-year member of the AMCAT field hockey program. During her time on the field, Anna Maria appeared in back-to-back New England Collegiate Conference (NECC) Championship games. The team won their first championship during Denver's senior year and qualified for the ECAC's. The team's success continued in Denver's first year as an assistant coach just a year later, when the team won the NECC Championship and qualified for the NCAA Tournament for the first time in program history.

"I am excited and honored to be the next field hockey coach at Anna Maria College," said Brigham. "As a graduate of the school and the program, I look forward to continuing the success and working with these talented student-athletes."

Brigham inherited a program that advanced to the Great Northeast Athletic Conference (GNAC) Championship game in 2014, and she has led the team to the GNAC postseason every year since her first full season in 2016. Brigham has won 27 games at the helm of the field hockey program. The 2019 squad earned the fourth seed in the GNAC tournament and hosted a quarterfinal game.

Brigham earned a Bachelor's degree in business administration in 2013 and she completed a Master's of Busines Administration in 2014. She also serves as Anna Maria's Director of Career Services.

We got to know coach a little more in-depth after sitting down and asking her a few questions.

 I love to go on hikes with my puppy!

 Winning a Conference Championship in College!
