James Powers Lands on D3Baseball.com Team of the Week

PAXTON, MA: Anna Maria third basemen James Powers (Folsom, CA) found his way onto D3baseball.com's Team of the Week after his performance against New England College this past weekend. 

A 13-6 win for the AMCATS Powers was a huge part of the opening day victory. Facing a tough opponent in New England College, Powers made his presence known from the first inning with a missile line drive into the right center field gap. He was also responsible for breaking the 6-6 tie in the 6th inning on a no doubter grand slam. Powers was a solid 3-for-5 on the day with a home run, double, and single. He had a team high five RBI's with a .600 batting average and a 1.400 slugging percentage.

The 'CATS will be back in action this weekend with two games against Mitchell College on Saturday at 12:00 PM and again against New England College on Sunday at 12:00 PM.
