Quincy Wilkins Named as Head Women's Lacrosse Coach

PAXTON, Mass: Early last month Head Women’s Lacrosse Coach Maureen Ruane announced her resignation from Anna Maria College. Today, Anna Maria is proud to announce that Quincy Wilkins has been hired as the new Head Women’s Lacrosse Coach to continue to grow and develop the newly reinstated program.

“I am beyond excited to join the Anna Maria family as the Women’s Lacrosse Coach. I want to thank Serge DeBari, Lindsey Garvey, and the rest of the search committee for believing in me and sharing my vision of the future for this program”, said Wilkins. “This is an Exciting time for Anna Maria Athletics, as the college continues to boost the student-athlete experience, and I am humbled to be added into the mix”, Wilkins continued. “I am eager to begin working alongside the talented coaches, administrators, and staff throughout the department, and I can’t wait to hit the ground running with the team this fall!”   

Originally from Wilbraham Massachusetts Quincy graduated from Minnechaug Regional High School, where she was named team captain of the Women’s Lacrosse team and is the All-Time Assist leader for western Mass. During her High School career, she was named to the Western Mass All-Star Team for Division I, along with a three time All-Conference and two time All-District selections. She finished her High School Career with 320 points on 105 goals and 215 assists.

Wilkins then went on to Graduate from Assumption College where she received a Bachelor’s of Arts with a concentration in Human Services and Rehabilitation Studies. In her four years at Assumption she put together an 85-point career with 44 goals and 41 assists.

Quincy’s Coaching career started in 2017 when she was studying at King’s College in Pennsylvania to receive her Master’s Degree in Education. She was the assistant coach for the Women’s Lacrosse Team at King’s for two years, while also coaching a travel team called GRIT Lacrosse in North East, PA. Wilkins also spent time providing private lessons to young athletes.

Wilkins will be taking over a team that finished their first season back at 0-13 and 0-11 in conference play.
