" Phill accounts for the only four year senior on the squad this season, starting with the team during the 2016-17 season. He was also named captain for the 2020 season for the first time in his career after gaining the trust of his head coach and teammates. Phill shows extraordinary leadership qualities that have helped the team get off to a great start this season.." - Head Coach Dan Briand

Joseph Cabrera

Sleepy Hollow, NY / Siena College

Health Science

"A great kid who has had a huge impact on our programs turnaround without playing a ton. He has a presence about him and a maturity about him that has been a great example to our younger players. His biggest impact was in the off season. He would take younger players under his wing and show them the way to train properly and safely. That is his passion and I know Joe will go on to be very successful in life and represent Anna Maria College in a great way for years to come" - Head Coach Dan Briand

JOSEPH CABRERA

  • 2-Year Outfielder
  • 8 Games Played
  • 6 ABs, 1 Run

Greg Gehring

CAPTAIN

Southold, NY / Southold

Business Administration

"Greg is another guy where it is impossible to sum up his impact in a short statement. You will also never illustrate his impact on the game by just simply looking at the box score or season stats. Greg changes every game he plays because of his outstanding defense behind the plate. He shuts down the other teams running game and also controls our pitching staff. Teams are afraid to run on him and if they do it’s a huge advantage for us because most of the time Greg turns opposing base stealers into outs for us. He is also as tough as nails and blocks and receives everything which makes a huge difference at any level of baseball. But at this level Greg is as good as it gets behind the plate. A rare 3 year captain, Greg has been a leader here since he arrived on campus 3 years ago. When we came here we wanted to build a program and establish a winning culture. Greg was one of the first players to buy into that vision and has been a great example for the type of program we have built and I know his impact will carry on as an example for future generations to follow." - Head Coach Dan Briand

#33 Greg Gehring

GREG GEHRING

  • 3-Year Cathcer
  • Captain
  • 72 Games Played
  • 208 ABs, 53 Hits, 2 2Bs, 1 HR, 34 RBI, 30 Runs, .255 Batting Avg.
  • 2019 GNAC All-Conference

Adam Twitchell

CAPTAIN

Shrewsbury, MA / Shrewsbury

Business Administration

"It’s hard to put into words the impact that Adam has had on our program. Since he has arrived here he has been one of the best players in the GNAC. He has played all over the diamond for us, battled through injuries and has also pitched a ton for us in many different roles. Adam is a gamer and is very competitive and that resonates throughout our entire roster. His toughness, leadership, and dedication is something that we look for in every kid we recruit, but rarely find. His stats are impressive but don’t begin to tell the story of Adam Twitchell. He changes every game he plays in. Weather he knocks 3 hits or makes a game saving catch in CF. It doesn’t matter, he finds a way to impact every game he plays in very positively. He has been a game changer for us and I hope we have the opportunity next year to accomplish the goal we all had since he arrived here. It’s a shame the season was cut short because once again he started on an All-American pace." - Head Coach Dan Briand

#16 Adam Twitchell

ADAM TWITCHELL

  • 3-Year Pitcher
  • Captain
  • 86 Games
  • 287 ABs, 99 Hits, 21 2Bs, 1 3B, 1 HR, 49 Runs, 38 RBI, 13 SB, .345 Batting Ave

  • 2019 GNAC All-Conference
