Women's Soccer Downed in Last Game of 2019 Season

- PROVIDENCE, R.I.: The Anna Maria Women's Soccer team fell this evening to GNAC opponent Johnson & Wales 10-1 in the SMG Athletic Complex.

 THE BASICS:

- Date: 10/30/2019

- Score: JWU 10, Anna Maria 1

- Records: JWU (13-6-1, 11-1 GNAC), Anna Maria (3-14-1, 0-11-1 GNAC)

HOW IT HAPPENED:

-  The Wildcats got to a quick 5-0 lead going into half with Alexis Vieira finding the back of the net twice in the half.

-  Vieira struck again two more times in the second half for a total of four goals, after JWU put up another five goals in the second half.

-  The AMCATS were able to find the back of the net in the 51st minute when senior Shannon LeBlanc (Lancaster, MA) was able to score her second goal of the season.

INSIDE THE NUMBERS:

- AMCAT goalie Rachel Matloff (Grafton, MA) faced 23 shots and made 13 saves.   

-  The Wildcats goalie Coleen Lynch saw just two shots and was able to save both.

-  Anna Maria was outshot 40 to 4.
