Women's Soccer Stumbles Against Pride

PAXTON MASS: Anna Maria Women's Soccer lost to Regis College 8-0 in an early afternoon conference matchup at AMCATS field Saturday. 

 

Regis College (7-5, 5-4 GNAC), Anna Maria College (0-13, 0-9 GNAC)

 

First Half:

 

Regis College would go onto score five goals in the first half with one own goal. Every one of the five goals would come from a different Pride player, starting with Emma Mendes, Maddie Michaud, Payton Fitzgerald, Bailey Elliot, and Katherine Ives.    

 

Second Half:

 

The AMCATS would hold the Pride to only two more goals the rest of the game.  Those goals came from Faith Montgomery and Kaylee Francis. Regis was able to hold the AMCATS to zero shots in the game.

Regis: Angie Caldwell:  0 Goals Allowed, 0 Saves (4-1)

Anna Maria: Rachel Matloff (Grafton, Mass):  8 Goals Allowed, 14 Saves, (0-13)

 

Next Up:

 

Regis will be home on October 10th as they will face conference opponent Norwich. 

 

Anna Maria will play host to USJ (Conn) on October 10th at 7PM.
