Women'a Lacrosse Flown Past by Hawks

PAXTON, Mass:  The Anna Maria Women's Lacrosse Team fell this afternoon to cross town rivals Becker College 18-1 in non-conference action on AMCAT Field.

 

Records: Becker 4-1, Anna Maria 0-8.

 

The Hawks Cassandra Nelson scored a game high five goals on the day along with one assist. Clare Conway trailed just one goal behind with a total of four. Conway tallied eight total points in the game as she also dished out four more assists.

 

The AMCATS were only able to net one goal in the contest on nine shots. Riley Cote (Tewksbury, Mass.) was the recipient of the one goal beating the tender in the second half. Ashley Rufo (Pittsfield, Mass.) led the team in groundballs with six and she had another six caused turnovers.

 

Goalies

 

Nikolle Story will get the win bringing her to 4-1 on the season. She faced two shots and was able to save both.

 

Emma Walsh (Dracut, Mass.) will be tagged with the loss as she drops to 0-7 on the year. She faces thirty shots, allowing eighteen goals and saving twelve.
