Nelson Scores Lone Goal in Women's Hockey Loss to Vikings

 

PAXTON, Mass: 6-1 was the final for tonight's non-conference Anna Maria Women's Hockey game versus Salem State.

 

The Vikings (5-7-1) were able to put up two goals in the first, three in the second and one in the third against the AMCATS. Leading scorer in the contest was Rose Sullivan who finished with two goals, with both coming in the second period.

 

For Anna Maria (1-10) Juianne Nelson (Kamloops, BC) finished with the only score for the team, that came 6 minutes into the third period. Nelson was assisted by Niamh Cote (Tewksbury, Mass.).

 

Goalies

 

Callie Richmam had 1 goal allowed with 7 saves.

 

Sarah Plourde played the bulk of the game with no goals allowed and 6 saves.

 

Gabi Ohanesian (Bozemen, MT) allowed 7 goals and accumulated 47 saves.
