Women's Hockey Falls to Salem State

PAXTON, Mass: 5-0 was the final from Marlborough Massachusetts this evening as Anna Maria was defeated by Salem State in non-conference action.

 

The Vikings (3-7-1) were led by Rose Sullivan who was able to beat the AMCAT tender twice this evening, once in the first period and again in the third. Sullivan also assisted on two other goals helping her be a part of four out of the five goals in the contest. Danielle Kelley, Catherine Salvetti, and Vanessa VanBuskirk rounded up the scoring for Salem State with one goal apiece.

 

The AMCATS (0-9-0) finished the contest with fifteen shots on net, with Juianne Nelson (Kamloops, BC) leading shots with 6 on net. Riley Cote (Tewksbury, Mass.) finished just behind her with five shots on net in the game. Goalie Sawyer Duncan (St. Albert, AB) allowed 5 goals while making 41 saves in the loss, she is now 0-2 on the season.
