Women's Hockey Claims First Win in Program History

PAXTON, Mass: The Anna Maria Women's Ice Hockey team claims the first win in program history as they took down the Colonels of Curry College 7-0 this afternoon.

 

Curry (3-4) was able to put twenty shots on net throughout the contest, five of which came from Kayla DiBiase and Abigail Huntress.

 

The AMCATS (1-3) had five players tickle the twine in today's contest with two getting multiple goals. Georgia McLellan (Kamloops, BC) and Katahdin Whitney (Canton, Conn.) were both able to get the puck past the Curry Goaltender twice. McLellan also added an assist to her line as she found Sophia Zimmerman (Crystal, Min.) for her first ever collegiate goal. Juianne Nelson (Armstrong, BC) and Niamh Cote (Tewksbury, Mass.) also were able to find the back of the net for the first time in their young careers today.
