Women's Hockey Downed by Golden Flyers

PAXTON, Mass: The new Anna Maria Women's Hockey team was edged by Nazareth College this evening in non-conference action 5-1.

Nazareth College (1-0), Anna Maria (0-1).

The Golden Flyers would find the back of the net in the 12^th minute of the first period, off of a Taylor Hudon's shot. Hudon was assisted by Cristina Darby and Hannah Tulchinsky. Mikaila Rubin was able to score on a power play to start the second period off of a feed from Hailey Redders and Jessica Kollberg. Redders was able to score her own goal later in the period in the 11^th minute.

The AMCATS started the night off with the school's first ever goal by Katahdin Whitney (Canton, Conn.) just one minute and thirty seconds into the game. Goalie Gabrielle Ohanesian (Bozemen, MT) managed to rack up thirty-nine saves with only playing the first two periods of the contest.

Both teams will be playing each other this Saturday, with action starting at 2:00 PM.
