Women’s Hoops Falls At Rivier
NASHUA, NH: The Anna Maria College women's basketball team lost 86-69 at Rivier University on Saturday afternoon in Great Northeast Athletic Conference (GNAC) action at the Muldoon Center in Nashua, New Hampshire.

THE GAME WAS DECIDED WHEN:
- The Raiders led 27-10 earlier in the second quarter before the AMCATS rallied to pull within single digits going into halftime, with Anna Maria senior guard Mariah Carey (Worcester, MA) hitting a pair of three-pointers in the final minutes of the opening half. Rivier opened the second half with a 16-2 run, however, and the visitors were unable to threaten again.
HIGHLIGHTS:
- Anna Maria freshman forward Marinique Reddin (Tampa, FL) turned in another strong outing with 17 points and nine rebounds, both team-highs for the AMCATS.
- Anna Maria senior guard Franchesca Hammond (Worcester, MA) filled the stat-line with 12 points, eight boards, three assists and a steal.
- Carey finished with 11 points for the AMCATS, with a trio of three-pointers.
- Rivier sophomore forward Lyric Grumblatt (Manchester, NH) led the Raiders with 24 points and 14 rebounds.
