Women's Basketball Downed by Saints

PAXTON, Mass: The Anna Maria Women's Basketball Team was defeated by Emmanuel College in conference action this afternoon 53-86 in the Fuller Center.

 

The Saints (10-4, 2-0 GNAC) came out with a full court press that they maintained throughout the entire contest, causing the AMCATS (4-12, 1-2 GNAC) to have thirty-three turnovers. Emmanuel also balanced their scoring throughout the team, as they finished with four players in double digits.

 

Anna Maria was able to settle down in the second half and came up just short in points for the half 32-35. The AMCATS had three athletes in double digits, with Sierra Johnson (Brocketon, Mass.) being the game leading scorer with sixteen points.
