PAXTON, Mass: The Anna Maria Softball team was downed by Cedar Crest this morning in Myrtle Beach by a score of 19-3.

Top Performers

 

The Falcons shortstop Stephanie Herpel led the way on a 4-for-5 day. Herpel pushed across four teammates to tie her with a game high in RBI's. Nicole Santaniello batted 1.000 today going 3-for-3 scoring five runs and batting in four giving her almost half of her teams runs. Aimee Sarboukh also had a great day at the plate going 3-for-4, with three RBI's.

 

Skyler Bilous got the win improving her to a 2-0 record when inside the circle. Bilous only gave up four hits and had just one earned run with five strikeouts.

 

The AMCATS were only able to muster up four hits in the five innings of play, with the biggest hit coming from Sabrina Carreira (). Carreira hit .500 (1-2) today, and her hit was able to bring in two Anna Maria runs to get them on the board. Victoria Falco () also was 1-for-2 today, with her being able to bat in the last AMCAT run on the day.

 

Falco will be tagged with the loss falling to 0-2 on the early campaign. She went three innings, giving up sixteen hits with eleven earned.

Mackenzie Morin () came on in relief for the final two innings, giving up four hits and just one earned run.
