Men's Soccer Outpaced by the Pride on Senior Day, 4-0

PAXTON, MASS: The Anna Maria Men's Soccer team dropped a GNAC conference match this afternoon to The Pride of Regis College on AMCAT Field.

 THE BASICS:

Score: Regis 4, Anna Maria 0

Records: Regis (3-6, 1-3 GNAC), Anna Maria (4-9, 1-3 GNAC)

HOW IT HAPPENED:

-  During a fast paced game, the Pride were able to capitalize on their opportunities throughout the contest. Regis was able to shutout the AMCAT offense through good defensive plays and a solid 10 save game combined between the two Pride keepers Ivan Ramirez (San Juan, Puerto Rico) and Freddie Beckmann (Franklin, MA). Each Keep was able to save all five shots that they faced.

-  Ken Niyonzima (Dracut, MA), Fabyanno Furbino (Port St. Lucie, FL), Diego Roman (Guaynabo, Puerto Rico), and Branden Tan (Bodrum, Turkey) all found the back of the net for the Pride.  

-  AMCAT Goalie Kyle Sherman (Mount Laurel, NJ) faced 14 shots as he finished with 10 saves.


INSIDE THE NUMBERS:

-  Anna Maria was outshot in through the game 32 to 17.

-  The pride did collect two yellow cards to the AMCATS one.

- Anna Maria returns to action on the 9th as they travel to another conference opponent in the University of Saint Joseph's for a 4:00 PM kickoff.
