AMC Soccer to Host - Indoor Skills Clinic
Paxton, Mass. – Anna Maria College's Head Soccer Coach Zach Roach is pleased to announce the launching of the inaugural Anna Maria College Soccer Academy – Indoor Skills Clinic. The clinics will have three different age sessions and will be held at The Fuller Athletic Center on the campus of Anna Maria the week of February school vacation.
The skills clinics are designed to provide youth players with an outstanding soccer learning experience during the vacation week. The sessions feature training in all aspects of soccer, from individual through small and large group techniques and tactics.
The sessions will start Monday, February 20th and run thru Thursday, February 23rd. Session 1 which includes boys and girls ages 6 & 7 will take place from 12:30 – 1:15pm, session 2 (Ages 8-10) will run from 1:15 – 2:15pm and session 3 (Ages 11-13) will round out the day from 2:15 – 3:30pm. The cost of the skills clinic will be $60.00 for session 1, $70.00 for session 2 and $80.00 for session 3.
Coach Rocha joined the Anna Maria College Men's Soccer Coaching Staff as the Head Coach at the conclusion of the 2010 fall season. He led the program to a 4-15-1 season in 2011 in his debut season. The AMCATS recorded their first-ever Great Northeast Athletic Conference victory with a 2-0 road win over Rivier on October 16. The AMCATS also upset Regis College, 1-0, in double overtime in their season finale on October 29.
