Men's Lacrosse Falls to Norwich

PAXTON, Mass: The Anna Maria Men's Lacrosse Team fell to Norwich University in conference play this evening 12-5 on AMCAT Field.

 

Records: Norwich 5-3, 3-0 GNAC, Anna Maria 3-7, 1-2 GNAC.

 

The Cadets put 30 shots on goal with ten coming from Cody Moore who scored a game high four goals. Payden Masaracchia also found the back of the net on more than one occasion as he scored three goals with one assist. Parker Campbell totaled another four points for Norwich with his two goals and two assists.

 

The AMCATS had three players score in the contest, three of their five goals came from Brandon Pavoni (Granby, Mass.) after being named player of the week this past Monday. Pavoni notched his twenty-seventh goal of the season. Kory Fortier (Oxford, Mass.) also found the back of the net along with Michael Lopez (Sleepy Hollow, NY) to round up the Anna Maria scoring.

 

Goalies

 

Nick Kandra got the win in net for the Cadets after allowing five goals and making six saves. Kandra will improve to 1-1 on the season.

 

Paul Schwarz (Staten Island, NY) was tagged with the loss dropping him to 1-5 on the season. Schwarz allowed the twelve goals while making eighteen saves.

They will be back on the road this Saturday as they travel up to Saint Joseph's College to play another conference match with action starting at 1:00 PM.
